About Rachel
At 21, I lost my dad over heart attack. Suddenly, this literature student who once said "I don't hate numbers, but numbers hate me" had to become the family breadwinner overnight.

The financial trauma and mistakes that followed were... educational. I went the painful route to learn money management, making every mistake you can imagine. But I don't want that for you.

Growing up in Malaysia's Chinese education system while studying English Literature gave me a unique perspective – Eastern pragmatism meets Western expressiveness. When life forced me to face financial reality, this duality became my strength.

Today, as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ pursuing my Master's in Personal Financial Management, I turn my pain into passion. I understand the shame of not knowing, the overwhelm of conflicting advice, because I've been there.

My strength? Breaking down complex money concepts into approachable conversations. I'm also a published author of "You're Not Bad with Money" and a swing dancer who believes money should buy you freedom, not stress.

From dreamer to breadwinner to helping others find their financial confidence – that's my journey.
